"Since I also started my firm from scratch I already knew what he was talking about. I know current firm owners that should hire him as they are doing it all wrong. I almost emailed the slide file to the man that currently owns my former firm. It was hard to work there as he doesn't run it as I did. He doesn't look at his employees as assets and doesn't get the clients work completed when he tells them it will be done. For example, I gave the clients a pick up time when the information came in the door. I told him over and over again how to time his interviews in blocks of time and leave blocks of time for working and blocks of time for returns calls etc. These weren't discussed in this class but they are big time savers. If someone has to wait 3 weeks to get an appointment and then receives there returns back in a week it is better than to schedule them 3 weeks earlier and take 4 weeks to get their returns back. In this case the work was all completed in the same time but the client was happier in the first situation."
